MLM Success Is Only Inches Away... With this Simple Jedi Mind Trick
"Your mind powers will not work on me, boy!"
This was a taunt used on Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga to try and humiliate him and scare him off. But as we all know, Luke did eventually master this talent and was able to use it on his enemies with great dramatic effect.
Each of us has an Enemy lurking inside, deep within the gray matter in our craniums. Far too many victims are held hostage to this evil parasite and they remain trapped their whole lives in the 6-inch prison between their ears. The Enemy is called "self-doubt," or "fear" or "paralysis of analysis."
Sun Tzu states in the Art of War that you must "know thy enemy and thyself, and thy victory will not stand in doubt." Successful people in all walks of life (business, religion, art, politics, literature) have been able to achieve success only by unmasking the Enemy and driving a big wooden stake into his heart. Once you slay this dragon you realize it was just a tiny lizard that was casting a huge shadow on the walls of your imagination.
What is your BHAG?
To write your own MLM Success Story, you need to fix your eyes on the prize. And what is your prize? What "Big Hairy Audacious Goal" is meaningful enough, delicious enough that you are willing to do whatever it takes to reach it? That prize can be whatever you can conceive and believe, but it should always be something you can feel, touch, see, smell or taste.
"More money" or "time freedom" are far too abstract. "An orange Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder" is more like it!
Get a picture in your head of exactly what it is you'd like to be holding, tasting, touching, etc. Then you reinforce this image by putting a giant poster of it on your wall, or computer screen saver. When you do this, that Enemy of self-doubt and fear will gradually find itself crowded out.
Your subconscious mind takes over and the object you desire becomes something you hold and possess right here, right now.
A Real MLM "Rags to Riches" Success Story
Atticus Killough wasn't always an MLM Rock Star. Here's how he transformed himself into a Million Dollar MLM earner:
I remember the last J.O.B. I had. I couldn't stand the feeling of being a cubicle convict, making diddly squat for money and driving a crappy car 2 hours back and forth every day in Dallas rush hour traffic.
During my drive time, I voraciously consumed cassette after inspiring cassette (yes, I didn't have a CD player back then) of the greatest MLM leaders in the world. Tom "Big Al" Schreiter was my personal coach and mentor at that time (although he didn't know it yet). His tremendous wit and wisdom, honey-coated with a wry sense of humor, got deeply embedded in my psyche, and my Dragon of Fear never stood a chance.
As I drove to my daily grind, and got out on parole each evening at 5 PM, I imagined that I was driving a gorgeous red Corvette convertible with a black rag top, and was returning to my mansion from a leisurely outing, where my beautiful wife and my kids awaited me with open arms.
I didn't see the mind-numbing traffic. I didn't smell the stinking exhaust and the sour sweat of the working class. All I could see was me in that 'Vette. I could feel my hand on the 6-speed, caressing the leather. I could hear Led Zeppelin or Rush blasting out of the huge Bose speakers. I felt the power of the beast in my feet as I stomped on the gas (which abused the heck out my little 4-cylinder rust bucket).
And then one day an amazing thing happened. I walked into the local dealership and placed a custom order for a Corvette with a black rag top and six speeds. The color was pewter, but I that's because my wife had gotten on board with this dream, too. And because she loved pewter, I loved pewter and began to prefer it to "Guido Red," as she put it. Ha! And what a gorgeous car that was! I dubbed her "Cora Yvette," and at the time she represented the pinnacle of success for me.
The funny thing was that this was a concrete goal, something I dreamed about every night, and imagined myself sitting in every day, that made all the difference. Suddenly that huge Grand Canyon that separated me from "success" had shrunk to mere inches... almost effortlessly!
Amazingly, I had created the income I needed to be able to justify this "extravagance." My subconscious was "Jedi Mind tricked" into doing whatever it took to get that Corvette. I cannot remember feeling any fear, or sense of drudgery and frustration as I came home, had dinner and worked my MLM business late into the night.
Success just "happened" - and it can happen for you, too!
So what picture is going up on your wall right now?
Get concrete and "use the Force!" Your MLM Success Story awaits!
